Electricity rates refer to the price that consumers pay for the usage of electrical power. These rates are determined by various factors, such as the cost of generating electricity, transmission and distribution expenses, and government regulations. The goal of electricity rates is to cover the costs associated with providing reliable power while ensuring affordability for consumers. Holden, along with many other small towns was planning on supplementing our power needs with nuclear power from NuScale Power Corp. but that program has been cancelled, leaving Holden to find its future power elsewhere.
